The Branded Copywriter will directly support the strategy, creation, and placement of branded content campaigns for 6AM City’s clients. From creating dynamic content (including written articles and social) within the 6AM tone and style to closely following the process of how we fulfill advertiser contracts, this role is perfect for someone who is organized and efficient with a self-starting attitude and follow-through, while also passionate about content creation and thinking creatively.
Reporting directly to the Director of Client Success, you will have the opportunity to learn and grow in this role; working collaboratively with account managers, as well as 6AM’s Sales, Marketing, and Editorial teams to fulfill and exceed client expectations. You will need to have excellent communication skills, the ability to manage multiple content requests and fulfillment effectively and efficiently, and the curiosity to learn about a wide range of advertising partners and industries to create interesting, dynamic branded content for the 6AM products.
Works with Senior Account Manager (SAM) and Campaign Strategist (CS) on campaign development for 6AM City clients.
Understands brand guidelines and aesthetics to ensure a balance between both our brand’s tone/style and clients’ requests.
Communicates directly with clients on content edits and adjustments.
Interprets data from branded content performance to make knowledgeable recommendations to clients on branded content topics and approaches.
Sources relevant advertiser content by following partners’ social media and website presence and publishes the team’s Curated Text Ads
Understands and advises internal departments’ workflows, ensuring on-time delivery on all aspects of branded content.
Write and develop highly engaging client content as assigned
Prepares strategy for (in collaboration with Campaign Strategist) and participates in Partnership Planning Meetings for assigned clients
Peer edits other writers’ content
Owns communication about content with clients, including content questions, feedback, and edits
Works closely with the Account Manager (AM) on Quality Assurance and Contract Completion
WE’D BE FIRED UP IF YOU HAVE SOME OF THESE TRAITS
2-5 years in content creation or similar role at a creative agency, in-house marketing department, media brand and/or online publishing company
Talented written communicator with a proven track record of creating strong digital copy
Detail-oriented and extremely organized with the ability to multi-task and juggle multiple things at once
Ability to take direction, receive feedback and adapt to change
Ability to learn quickly, implement learnings into daily responsibilities, and grasp the big picture
Ability to multitask and prioritize as needed
Experience working with Mac and MS Office
Experience working in Google Docs, Google Sheets, Google Drive, Google Calendar
Experience with Asana and a CMS platform preferred
Experience with social media publishing, particularly Facebook and Instagram
