The Wyoming Tribune Eagle, the daily newspaper in Cheyenne, Wyoming, seeks two hard-driving reporters. One reporter would cover municipal government and politics, while the other would cover K-12 education and the community college in this capital city. Each reporter would write approximately one medium length story per day, five days a week. This will include interviewing politicians, government officials, voters and experts. There will be opportunities to write longer stories and gain experience with more in-depth enterprise projects. The ability to develop relationships with sources of all types, to write accurate and insightful stories, and to meet daily deadlines is crucial for both of these jobs. The positions require journalistic creativity and an ability to and come up with story ideas and ways to use visual and digital tools to make your stories even more compelling. In Cheyenne, you will find no shortage of stories to cover. The newsroom has supportive, veteran editors and colleagues. The newspaper is located in downtown Cheyenne and is owned by Adams Publishing Group, a family-run publisher of newspapers in small and midsize cities. Please send three or four of your clips, as well as a résumé and cover letter, to Wyoming Tribune Eagle Managing Editor Brian Martin at bmartin@wyomingnews.com.
