Head of Audience Growth and Social

New Posted 9 April 2025 | New York, NY | ADWEEK

ADWEEK is seeking a Head of Audience Growth and Social to lead strategy and execution around the expansion of the brand’s O&O footprint with a particular focus on off-platform storytelling and referral traffic. This role will work closely with the newsroom and broader editorial team to amplify the reporting and day-to-day content with the intention of increasing the reach and contributing to pageview goals. This is a role for someone who is obsessed with using data signals to make content decisions, takes pride in knowing trends before anyone else, and gets excited by phrases like “YoY growth in PVs from LinkedIn.”

The primary focus of this role is driving traffic and working hand in hand with the newsroom leadership, especially the Editor in Chief, to ensure our reporting is being translated to social platforms in a compelling way. Additionally, the Head of Audience Growth and Social will explore and develop new ways to strengthen ADWEEK’s brand identity and increase engagement on social platforms, whether it’s with new social-only franchises, video content from events, or unique partnerships with platforms.

The ideal candidate will be data-driven (even a little bit obsessed), possess strong editorial sensibilities, and have a mastery of best practices of existing platforms and a rabid curiosity about emerging ones. Experience with LinkedIn is a must. This position requires a growth mindset and understanding of how to optimize stories for various platforms to increase both engagement and referral traffic.

The Head of Audience Growth and Social will also monitor social media to identify trends and bring actionable guidance back to the newsroom. The position requires a dynamic, collaborative relationship with the content, product and analytics teams; and a willingness to try new tactics, and an interest in training others in best practices. This is best suited for a leader ready and eager to set a new standard of excellence.

The Head of Audience Growth and Social position is a hybrid role requiring 3 days a week in the office. This position reports into the Chief Content Officer, while working closely with the Editor in Chief.
