Program Producer

Alaska Public Media is looking for a Program Producer to join our fast-paced newsroom. The Program Producer provides production assistance to the on-air radio and television teams, booking guests, editing interviews and producing content. The Program Producer researches and develops current event pitches and suggests guest lists for the weekly statewide radio programs, Talk of Alaska and Line One: Your Health Connection, as well as the weekly television program Alaska Insight. The Program Producer also assists with logistics and booking for occasional community discussions, as well as candidate forums and debates during election years. The Program Producer has excellent news judgment, writes and posts content to the website and social media during live programs and breaking news events, assists on-air hosts with forward promotion, and edits content for inclusion in Alaska News Nightly and/or Alaska Morning News. Alaska Public Media (AKPM) is a broad-based public media organization that delivers television, radio, and web content. AKPM is the source for NPR radio and PBS television for Southcentral Alaska and stewards the public media statewide news collaboration.
