Overview

The Position

We are seeking an Account Manager, Content Writer to join our Corporate Practice. This role will work closely with client account teams and sometimes directly with Corporate Practice clients to write compelling, persuasive material that advances the client’s strategic goals. Clients do business in a range of sectors including B2B, industrials, technology, professional services and more. Depending on the need, the writer may be a part of the client-facing core account team or may serve in a consultative role on one-off projects.

What You’ll Do

Turns complex, sometimes technical information into clear, compelling written material including press releases, speeches, presentations, white papers as well as material for social media.
Tells a story that gets to the heart of the matter, claifies and persuades.
Edits and revises materials from clients and colleagues.
Conducts sourcing interviews with executives or SMEs as needed to craft content.
Thinks strategically, contributes ideas and solutions frequently to teams and client on topics, activities and specific materials.
Manages projects that involve writing.
Serves as an integral member of account teams.
Manages time and projects well with little supervision, meeting all deadlines and budget parameters.

Qualifications

What You’ll Need

Proven writer and editor. Journalism or editorial experience a strong plus. 3-6 years’ experience required.
Wide range of writing experience, including press releases, bylined articles, memos, speeches, presentation, white papers, blogs and social media posts.
Ability to synthesize complex ideas into persuasive, compelling content in a variety of vehicles and channels.
Able to write in multiple voices – to understand, capture and recreate the expressive style of a corporate leader, senior executive, policymaker or thought leader.
Ability to effectively manage multiple projects/tasks of varying complexities and work well under pressure.
Experience with social media platforms, a good understanding of platform best practices, and social content strategy
Requires exposure to marketing, communications, public relations or related experience.
Efficient time manager and ability to meet deadlines.
Strong communicator with team, client, and media

In order to comply with equal pay and salary transparency laws in various locations, we believe the target range of base compensation in all locations within the United States for this role is $75k-$95k. Actual compensation is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, level of experience, and location.
