Reporter

AltFi is a leading news, insights, and data provider for the rapidly growing alternative finance and fintech industries. Our core focus is on disruption to lending, banking and investing. This includes alternative lending, digital banks and digital wealth management, as well as alternative credit, equity crowdfunding, challenger banks, and robo-advice. We also run major industry conferences, publish reports and host webinars for our covered sectors.

Role Description

This is a full-time role for a Reporter. The Reporter will be responsible for the day-to-day tasks of researching, investigating and reporting on developments in the alternative finance and fintech industries. The position is hybrid with three days a week (Mon, Wed, Thur) based in our London office.

What We're Looking For

A passion and enthusiasm for all things digital money
2 years of journalism experience
An entrepreneurial attitude
A willingness to work as part of a team or individually as needed
Experience on video, radio, podcasts or speaking at events is a plus
Journalism training or media law training is a plus

Role Responsibilities

Identify and write daily news stories
Work on weekly features, reviews and analysis
Publish an occasional opinion piece on topics you’re passionate about
Support the editor around AltFi’s major events, reports and new magazine
Develop a network of contacts among the fintech, digital banking and alternative finance communities in London and across Europe
