The American City Business Journals Editorial Internship Program was started in 1997, to give talented, early-career journalists a chance to prove themselves in one of our newsrooms.
Each year, our National Content Team, in concert with editors across the country, selects a cadre of interns to work full time for 10 weeks in an ACBJ newsroom.
Skills & Experience
Candidates must have published clippings
Able to demonstrate a proficiency for news writing
Express and demonstrate interest in business journalism as a potential career choice
Our interns work alongside the rest of our staff, doing the same work we do under the guidance of editors and mentors. Most of our interns work during the summer, but we are open to scheduling the 10 weeks at other times of the year, as well, if both the intern and editor agree to it. ACBJ’s newsroom interns work solely in reporting, editing, graphic or photography positions. All ACBJ internships are paid.
