The Associate Digital Producer will work with The Current’s programming team to create content that reaches audiences across the existing and emerging audio, visual, and social platforms. Compensation Range: $22.70 - $27.24/hour. Exact hourly rate determined by experience and education related to the role, organizational compensation structure, and internal equity.

Position Responsibilities:
Assist with the creation and production of content on various media platforms, including through text, audio, video, and photography.
Generate ideas for content, including researching and proposing ideas for shows, promotional messages, and other programs.
Assist with the planning and coordination of programs and events.
Create digital assets for The Current and a portfolio of brands for content campaigns across broadcast and digital channels.
Write copy for social media, editorial features, and videos.
Develop audio and visual stories that prioritize reaching new audiences.
Conduct artist interviews using onsite and remote productions tools.
Working with digital producers and technical directors across MPR, craft unique experiences, empower connection, and amplify independent voices.
Transcribe audio to ensure content accessibility.
Research and employ best practices in audio/visual storytelling and podcast production.
Work with department leads to develop innovative content.
Other duties as assigned.
Required Education and Experience:
2-3 years in digital content production experience.
Previous experience in producing editorial content.
Experience working with artists and music.
Required Skills, Knowledge and Abilities:
Strong organizational skills required along with intermediate knowledge of Office 365 productivity tools.
Background in digital content production including publishing tools and social media platforms.
Experience with Google Analytics or similar measurement tools.
Preferred Skills and Experience:
Knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite or equivalent design tools.
Past experience with Pro Tools or equivalent digital audio tools and interfaces.
Software development and UX experience is a plus.
Familiarity with the local music scene with a focus on Hip Hop, R&B, EDM, and emerging artists.
