Technical Writer

Seeking a Technical Writer to work on an integrated team with other Tech Writers, ID’s, subject matter experts, and operational project team members on both updating and creating new documentation for both systems and training solutions for a Fiserv Conversion.

To be considered, must hold an active 5c Security Clearance.

Pay: $45/hour 1099

Start: ASAP
Duration: Through end of the year (40 hours per week) and possible extension into 2024
Location: 100% virtual/remote.

Requirements:

MUST hold a current/active 5c Security Clearance
Bachelor’s Degree in English writing, Finance, Business, Communications, or any related field
3+ years of experience as an effective technical writer taking highly technical financial material and creating easy to understand, creative end-user content
Understanding Financial acronyms (Banking/Credit/loan processing experience)
Proven ability to quickly learn and understand Complex/Financial Technical Processes (Fiserv experience preferred but not required)
Experience in writing training documentation and procedure manuals for various audiences within Student Loan Processing (Financial) such as System Processes, Customer Service and Accounting
Superb written communication skills, with a keen eye for detail
Brainstorm, research, and contribute ideas for content
Ability to manage tasks and multiple projects simultaneously
Strong experience with PowerPoint, Adobe tools, etc.
Able to update current documentation and create new content that is creative and easy for end users to understand
Effective written and oral communication skills
Ability to work in a fast paced organization
Work well in a team environment
Possess effective listening skills
Ensure a consistent brand experience across all touchpoints and across all media (traditional and digital)
Ability to collaborate with peers, designers, SMEs and specific business partners by clarifying deliverables and reinforcing outcomes
