What will you be doing?

Argus is seeking a dynamic leader to manage its US fertilizer editorial team while also spearheading market engagement for key business initiatives. The role will report to the Editorial Manager – Metals, Fertilizer and Chemicals, while working closely with the global fertilizer editorial team, business development and commercial teams.

Leadership and management

Manage and guide development of three market reporters covering the North American nitrogen, phosphate, potash and sulfur markets.
Establish strong knowledge of US fertilizer commodity markets.
Ensure quality and relevance of weekly North American Fertilizer, daily Nitrogen and Phosphate and weekly AdBlue and DEF reports.
Maintain close and productive relationships with global fertilizer editors/reporters.
Develop new areas of market coverage.
Provide cross-coverage support across all US markets.

Market engagement

Serve as the face of Argus fertilizer in the US through conference attendance, presentations, direct meetings and other engagements.

Provide thought leadership through regular white papers, podcasts or other forms of media.
Meet with senior industry stakeholders around legacy fertilizer benchmarks and identify opportunities for competitor displacement.
Assist business development efforts to US DEF coverage.

What we’re looking for in you:

The legal authorization to work in the US for any US employer.
A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in journalism, English, communications, economics, business, history or relevant field.
Demonstrated reporting, writing and goal-oriented collaboration skills, with strong diplomatic, analytical and problem-solving ability.
Experience covering physical commodity markets, with management experience helpful.
A commitment to the highest level of accuracy and completing all writing within established deadlines.
Strong experience with Microsoft Office Suite with particular experience in Excel.
