What we’re looking for?

This is an excellent opportunity to forge your career covering the economically and politically influential sector of global energy and commodities. You will apply and develop your skills across daily news reporting, market analysis, features and editorials in this fast-paced environment with the highest standards of journalistic independence and integrity; and there are opportunities to travel and present papers at industry conferences and lead webinar sessions.

Argus is seeking a Senior Reporter to join the European products team in London, which covers the major refined oil products markets including gasoline, fuel oil and diesel.

You will cover the refined products market through daily price assessments, writing interesting, analytical market commentaries, news coverage and in-depth analysis to appear online and in the daily Argus European Products report. A key responsibility will be maintaining and expanding the contact base and forging strong relationships with the industry.

The refined products market is changing, with international trade flows shifting and new legislation driving the market into new areas. As a midstream market, there is overlap and the opportunity to learn about upstream crude oil markets and downstream fuel markets, as well as the tangential biofuels markets.

You will work in tandem with other reporters and editors who will provide training and support to develop in-depth knowledge of the markets.
