Editor

New Posted 4 January 2024 | Little Rock, Arkansas | Arkansas Business Publishing Group

Our previous editor was with our company more than 20 years. That gives you a little glimpse into why the award-winning and nationally-recognized Arkansas Business is considered a premier place to work.

A long tenure is common at Arkansas Business. Hiring and keeping exceptional team members is one reason Arkansas Business has hit record paid subscriber levels and record revenue levels in recent years. It's part of larger company that's locally owned by one person, and that company has doubled in size in the past decade.

Arkansas Business is the state's signature weekly business magazine, and we're looking for the right fit for our growing company.

The Arkansas Business editor’s main function is to oversee the editorial content and staff of the weekly print edition to ensure creation of distinctive content that meets the needs of Arkansas’ executive, decision-maker audience. In addition to leading the team, this position writes, edits and proofreads stories and lists and contributes to digital and social media products. A full job description is available for review.

The position requires a creative individual with strong attention to detail and a passion for providing meaningful content and comfort with data and database management. This position works closely with publisher, online editor, managing editor, content team members and art director to help execute a high-quality and sophisticated weekly magazine targeted to a premium audience. This position has a veteran team with teammates whose collective work experience at Arkansas Business exceeds 125 years.

There is a reason so many of our team members have been here for years — we take care of our 78 employees and this is a great place to work (the kids' room, ice cream parties, company retreats and pet-friendly environment are just a few perks). We're looking for team members who like to work hard and have fun. Grumps should not apply.

We offer health, dental, vision, paid parental leave, flexible spending accounts and a significant 401(k) match. ABPG is one of the state's largest media companies with 25 magazines and a broad collection of respected digital products. The company also hosts premier events throughout the state and owns one of the leading digital marketing companies in the region.

No phone calls please. Arkansas Business Publishing Group is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
