Casual Producer, News Breakfast

News Breakfast is seeking expressions of interest from motivated producers, looking to join its Melbourne team on a casual basis. Under the direction of the Executive and Supervising producers, you will be responsible for sourcing and editing vision, booking guests, and helping write on-screen graphics for the program. We are looking for someone who thrives on current affairs and wants to help shape the daily news cycle for a breakfast television audience.

The ideal candidates will have experience working in a television newsroom in either a production or reporting role.
You Will Need
A wide knowledge base that covers national and international news, as well as sport, finance and popular culture.
Attention to detail and demonstrated ability to produce concise, accurate and engaging content for TV audiences.
The ability to identify and suggest new story ideas, or fresh angles for existing stories.
The ability to help develop a varied guest list, that reflects modern-Australia.
A working knowledge of the pace and logistical challenges of television news production.

This role will predominantly work across the morning production desk and starts at 2am but may also need to work afternoon and evening planning shifts. We would love to see your work.
