About The Role
Our Asia Pacific Newsroom is looking for digital journalists to write, create and edit compelling and original news content across multiple digital platforms, both existing and experimental. Under the broad direction of the Digital Editor Content, the role includes;
Keeping across breaking News and be able to work a rotating 24/7 roster.
Collaborating with other newsroom teams (The World, Pacific Beat & multilingual services) to provide advice and assistance for their digital and social media treatments of international content.
Coordinating and filing digital content in conjunction with the Foreign Desk and international correspondents as required.
About You
You will have some journalistic experience and an interest and knowledge of the Asia Pacific region. You will be flexible and also have;
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work as part of a culturally diverse team. Language skills an advantage, particularly those relevant to Australia’s main domestic CALD communities.
Track record in international news reporting, digital production and a creative approach to storytelling.
Demonstrated ability to produce accurate and concise copy in engaging digital formats within deadlines.
