About ABC Riverland

About the Role

ABC News is looking for an experienced Reporter to create news content to meet changing coverage and content requirements across all platforms in line with ABC goals and strategies.

Working as part of the highly successful ABC Riverland team, you will:

Break news stories, create accurate, concise and clear news content that will used across multiple platforms.
Present news bulletins, Q&A’s, interviews and packages.
Actively identify news content that could travel to other content areas across the ABC.
Liaise with the Editor and team regarding all content.
Assist with content that could be run in state and national bulletins and online.
Keep up to date with the shifting media and news environment and embrace changes.

About You

You will be a journalist with good editorial skills and experience with breaking news and generating original stories in a daily news environment. You have the necessary focus and capability to file multiple stories in a busy role that depends on strong editorial understanding and ability.

With your strong, current experience, you will also have:

Well-developed cross-platform production skills.
Confident broadcast presentation skills including live presentation.
Good time management and communication skills.
Demonstrated understanding of content strategy and audience demands.
Current valid driver's license.
Demonstrated understanding and passion to source and create authentic content.
