About The Role

ABC News is looking for a highly motivated multi skilled content makers to be Western Australia’s Great Southern Rural Reporters based in Albany.

You’ll report to the ABC Great Southern Editor John Dobson and WA Rural Executive Producer Richard Hudson.

You Will Be Responsible For

Finding content for digital, TV and video/TV.
For radio you’ll present an early morning daily Rural Report and provide interviews for the Country Hour.
Contributing to planning and commissioning processes to develop and distribute new content ideas to achieve strong reach and engagement with audiences.

About You

We are looking for a Rural Reporter with experience telling stories for radio and online.

Our best rural reporters have good journalistic skills and instincts.

They’re interested in primary industries such as farming, fishing, mining and forestry.

And they’re passionate about breaking news but also telling personal stories.
