Content Editor

We are looking for a full time digital content editor to work at Autovia, home of the UK’s biggest automotive media brands; Auto Express, Carbuyer, evo, and Driving Electric.

Reporting to the group web editor, the content editor will assist in running the website and social media channels for Auto Express, Carbuyer and DrivingElectric, Autovia’s leading consumer websites focused on helping car buyers find the right car.

The content editor role will involve content creation and updating of written content, SEO optimisation, using the content management system and maintaining the highest editorial standards across the website at all times.

This role is a great opportunity to join the Autovia editorial team and contribute to some of the UK’s leading car consumer publications with millions of visitors every month. The content editor will have a keen eye for detail, an excellent command of written English and a good all-around grasp of digital media.
What will you be doing?

The role will include aspects of the entire digital content creation process from writing news stories, features, captions and headlines to editing pictures, using the site CMS and promoting content across social media channels and newsletters.
Why you?

Knowledge of SEO and content management systems is desirable but not essential, as is some understanding of social media best practice. More important is to have a passion for digital media, a good knowledge of cars, our brands and the automotive industry, and the ability to write accurately and engagingly for our audiences. You’ll also need to be comfortable working from home and on occasional days in the office when required.
