Associate Editor Pay And Benefits

Hourly pay: $46-$60 (Pay varies based on candidate location and experience)
Worksite: Leading professional development and networking (New York, NY 10118 - Hybrid or Remote)
W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program
40 hours/week, 12 Month Assignment

Associate Editor Responsibilities

Report, write, and edit weekly coverage of data-driven topics that impact professionals at various levels.
Build distribution tactics by having an understanding of content distribution, including writing concise and engaging copy for social and notifications.
Work with internal data science, research, and comms teams to spot trends and plan content calendar.
Understand benchmark success metrics to evaluate project performance.
Develop relationships with data experts and members who can add their voice to our coverage.
Identify emerging opportunities and experiment with new ways to share and tell stories that fit our professional audience.
Work with internal stakeholders across data science, research, and comms to plan data-backed coverage related to economic and workplace trends.

Associate Editor Qualifications

2+ years of experience in a news or media environment (either full-time, contract, or freelance).
1+ years of experience in an editorial role (reporting and writing).
Comfortable with data is preferred.
Organized and deadline-driven is preferred.
A strategic approach with a knack for testing and iterating to find out what works is preferred.
Willingness to pitch in where needed to achieve the goals of a small team is preferred.
Passion for our company and editorial’s goal of bringing professionals the news and insights they need is preferred.
Excited to work in a fast-paced and changing environment is preferred.
Writing, communication, collaboration, and organizational skills.
