What's it like to be a Content Writer at Market Veep?

In this position, you’ll edit and write blog posts, eBooks, web content, and sales content for Market Veep and our clients. You’ll work with our awesome clients via our project management system to obtain approvals and get feedback on your work.

Research is an important part of this position. You may be expected to learn and write about subjects that you aren’t yet familiar with and work on client projects from a variety of industries. Can you make obscure manufacturing processes sound exciting? Can you write a blog that teaches a CEO something they don’t already know? If so, you’re in the right place!

Your Professional Experience:

Have a Bachelor’s degree or higher in Writing, English, or Journalism and at least 1 year of writing experience.
Experience writing short-form content, long-form content, social media, emails, sales copy, and other B2B content
Understanding of common B2B audiences such as c-suite executives, architects, construction professionals, manufacturing professionals, engineers, and more
Have excellent writing and grammar skills.
Be able to demonstrate those excellent writing and grammar skills with writing samples.
Be attentive to important details in your writing (like who your audience is).
Be able to write from the perspective of others (ghostwriting).
Learn and grow from constructive feedback (if you’ve taken any writing workshops,

you know what’s up).

Be organized and attentive.
Work well with a team and on your own.
Take notes fiendishly when receiving instructions (this is really important).
Be friendly and respectful to others (also pretty important).
Be able to communicate professionally with both our team and our clients.
Use the Oxford Comma.
Not debate about usage of the Oxford Comma. ;)

Topic development based on target buyer personas
Short-form writing (500-1000 words)

Long-form writing (1000-2500 words)
Website and landing page copy
Sales copy such as sequences, sell sheet copy, drip campaigns, and more
Social media copy such as organic social posts, LinkedIn group posts, direct outreach campaigns, and more
