Farmington serves as the commercial hub for most of northwestern New Mexico and the Four Corners region. It is the largest city of San Juan County, one of the geographically largest counties in the United States, and is located at the junction of the San Juan, Animas and La Plata rivers, on the Colorado Plateau. Reporters at BCI are focused on readership and a growing online audience. A full-time photographer/videographer is on staff, but reporters frequently are required to provide photos for their stories.
