Digital Writer, What's the Best

We drive the digital business of Bauer Media Group in the UK and are the powerhouse behind strong digital websites such as Motorcycle News, Today’s Golfer, Mother&Baby and Yours.

Your key responsibilities will include ensuring the highest quality content is delivered in line with the brand's proposition and ambitions. Success in this role means meeting and exceeding targets to take What’s the Best to the next level.

We are looking for a competent, friendly and reliable Digital Writer for our editorial team in What’s the Best team as soon as possible.

Key Responsibilities:

Creating and optimising high-quality and helpful content in the tech and fitness segments that precisely meets the needs of our valued audience
This includes researching, planning and writing comprehensive product tests and buying guides according to editorial guidelines and in line with current SEO standards
Creating accompanying photo and video material to provide our users with the best offers tailored to their needs in all relevant media formats
Customising content for various digital platforms, considering the unique requirements and best practices for each
Attending relevant press events and product launches and supporting sales events like Prime Day and Black Friday
Working in close collaboration with e.g. wider editorial or Audience Development / SEO management

What You'll Bring:

You have a passion to create content for everyone and ensure it serves a diverse audience
You know which trends are currently affecting the market, from laptops to indoor rowing machines - you know what our users want, have a good feel for topics, have in-depth specialist knowledge and can also prepare complex content in an appealing and understandable way for our users
You are willing to learn, and be willing to carry out training at the Bauer Academy
You have sophisticated SEO knowledge and know how to get articles to rank
At best, you already have some experience in writing product tests and know how to best support and advise readers in their purchasing decisions
You are familiar with common content KPIs and are able to use them to evaluate the performance of your texts
You have a collaborative mindset, can-do attitude with a willingness to get involved and a hunger to learn more
You are excellent in writing and communication skills
You have an excellent time management as well as an understanding of prioritisation, are self-organised and have a hands-on mentality
