Executive Producer - Radio Lincolnshire

Salary : £54,000 - £66,000 per annum dependent on relevant skills and experience
Job Purpose

BBC Radio Lincolnshire is looking for a dynamic and talented Executive Producer. This is a chance to join this creative and ambitious team that puts its audience at the heart of the output. From the groundbreaking Farmwatch to multiple digital commissions, this is a team which is committed to building audiences both on linear and digital platforms.

You’ll need to love radio, understand the digital opportunities and have a real understanding of our audience.

You’ll work closely with the Executive Editor and the wider regional leadership team across East Yorkshire and Lincolnshire. You’ll need to ensure our content is aligned to the BBC Local strategy and how that translates to the team and the way they work.

This is an eight month fixed term contract / attachment.
Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities

The successful candidate will be expected to support the Executive Editor in leading the team in Lincoln to ensure they deliver on the KPIs They’ll be editorially and managerially responsible for output and specific productions.

They’ll have a strong sense of the Value for All strategy and the need to reach diverse, opportunity audiences in Lincolnshire. They’ll take a lead in ambitious and creative projects which will push the boundaries on new ways of working; collaborating across platforms and teams. They’ll provide editorial insight and direction for new commissions on digital and linear and have the ability to manage those associated budgets.

They also play a key role in ensuring BBC Lincolnshire has strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders.

We expect them to have a thorough knowledge of industry trends and innovations.

We are looking for somebody with evidence of strong leadership and effective team management, who is able to manage, nurture and develop a high performing team.

An important skill will be building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders across the BBC and making sure that our content is availalbe across multiple platforms.

This is a demanding job. Effective planning and organising skills are essential. The ability to concentrate on several areas of work at one time, prioritising, delivering consistently to deadlines and reacting positively to changes and conflicting priorities. You will be an excellent communicator who is able to deliver content and programmes on time, to a high standard, within budget.
