Senior Journalist

The successful candidate will work with the multimedia Newsdesk to generate engaging content, curate the Wales online indexes and social platforms and liaise with the social/video team. Forward planning skills and subbing will also form part of the duties of the role. The successful candidate will generate ideas and content from within the team and wider newsroom, ensure the content complies with BBC editorial standards and offers innovative and creative content to our audiences. There will also be an expectation for the successful candidate to liaise and manage relationships with other outlets in BBC Wales news as well as in other BBC centres. Are you the right candidate? The successful candidate will have a proven track record of originating and producing stories across a range of BBC output, they will demonstrate substantial journalism experience with a high standard of editorial judgment, writing ability and production skills. Demonstrable experience of writing creatively with accuracy and clarity is essential.
