Bustle Digital Group (“BDG”) is looking for a talented Associate Producer, Social & Editorial Video to join the organization’s social media team.
The role will report to BDG’s Social Director and oversee the development of social-first (shortform) and editorial (longer-form) video concepts for each of BDG’s internationally recognized lifestyle brands, including Bustle, Elite Daily, NYLON Magazine, The Zoe Report, Inverse, Scary Mommy, Romper, and The Dad.
The candidate should be an expert in social video, with proven experience working with talent and producing viral content. They should be comfortable formulating concepts that are optimized for posting on social media, but are equally effective when shared in long form on YouTube or Facebook.
BDG’s brands are extremely online, and so should the candidate. We are looking to hire someone with an encyclopediac knowledge of what the internet is talking about and why they’re talking about it. Content ideas that are geared toward a social-first viewer are a significant part of this role, so the candidate should be confident pitching, researching, and fleshing out entertaining and timely formats with viral potential.
In a role that is equal parts creative and logistics, the candidate must have a firm grasp on running video capture on a live set. The candidate should also be organized and personable.
This is a position covered under a collective bargaining agreement between BDG Media, Inc. and the Writers Guild of America East.
