The Big Ten Network is searching for a Coordinating Producer to join their team in Chicago, IL. The Coordinating Producer will be responsible for managing and supporting the production of multiple studio shows, including but not limited to regularly scheduled programming, pre- and post-game shows, specials, and breaking news. Working under the Vice President of Studio Production, this role will work in unison with another coordinating producer to ensure that the proper support and guidance are provided at all times during production events. Additionally, this role works collaboratively across multiple departments to support the execution of high-quality programming.
A SNAPSHOT OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES
Provide guidance and support to producers in the creation of rundowns and show formatting, including graphics checks
Assist in the confirmation and communication of breaking news with the assignment manager while also ensuring accuracy in information
Support producers when news breaks by communicating necessary information with the studio crew, scheduling interviews, and gathering information as needed
Create and manage strategic studio schedules for full-time and freelance production employees within the allotted budget
Act as lead producer for select shows, including in-studio and onsite events, including but not limited to playoff games, press conferences, etc.
Provide studio operations employees directions on events, including but not limited to interviews, press conferences, breaking news, or any coverage requiring remotes or games
Provide feedback and/or training to full-time and freelance employees on work performance to improve the quality of production
WHAT YOU WILL NEED
10+ years of experience in live studio show line producing and post-show production
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging appropriately
Outstanding collaboration skills, with the ability to work cross-functionally across multiple teams
Excellent attention to detail and outstanding organizational and project management skills
Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office applications ( Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and Outlook)
Demonstrated ability to work calmly under pressure in a fast-paced sports production environment
Ability to work a flexible schedule that includes nights, weekends, and holidays, as well as the ability to travel
NICE TO HAVE BUT NOT A DEALBREAKER
Bachelor's degree in Broadcasting, Radio/TV/Film, Communications, or equivalent field of study

Pursuant to state and local pay disclosure requirements, the pay rate/range for this role, with final offer amount dependent on education, skills, experience, and location is $143,000.00-161,000.00 annually. This role is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus, various benefits, including medical/dental/vision, insurance, a 401(k) plan, paid time off, and other benefits in accordance with applicable plan documents.
