Bloomberg is looking for an insightful and versatile reporter to cover money, power and the economy in Chicago at a critical moment for the city. You'll be a go-getter, who can build a network of sources to write stories about some of Chicago's most important financial firms, richest families, and the role they play in shaping power and politics in the Midwest. You'll be required to break news and write long-form stories that connect the dots with what's going on nationally.
Based out of Bloomberg's Chicago office, the role also offers the opportunity to tap into real estate, culture wars and the broad themes impacting the country ahead of the 2024 Presidential elections.
In this high-profile position, you'll be expected to cut through jargon, telling finance stories to a broad audience and capturing the most important issues affecting the city.

YOU'LL NEED TO HAVE:
A minimum of 3 years experience
A track record of breaking news
An understanding of finance, wealth and the economy
Deep knowledge of Chicago or willingness to learn
