With strong economic growth raising chances of a fresh reacceleration of price pressures, will Fed policymakers hike interest rates again? How long will rates stay elevated to ensure the inflation battle is won? And can the Fed succeed with minimal damage to the economy?

The Fed is core to Bloomberg, whose readers closely follow every utterance by the central bank and its 19 policymakers. We are seeking a Federal Reserve reporter in Washington to set the agenda on this critical beat.

You'll interpret Fed statements and speeches; spot economic trends and bring them to life for the reader; deliver sharp analysis; and write with authority. You'll also produce scoops and enterprise stories on a range of issues, including Fed governance, personnel moves and the intersection of Fed policy and politics - ensuring that Bloomberg's Fed coverage is required reading for Wall Street traders, policymakers, business leaders and consumers alike.

Cover the Fed's policy decisions, speeches, reports and personnel moves while breaking news on the central bank
Pitch stories on various topics to give readers a richer understanding of the inner workings of the central bank, including the key policymakers driving decisions and the complex issues underlying those debates
Work under tight deadlines and collaborate with reporters and editors in the US and around the world
Take risks and find ways to innovate while maintaining the highest standards for accuracy and speed
Contribute across a variety of Bloomberg platforms and formats, such as video, radio, podcasts, Bloomberg.com and Bloomberg Businessweek magazine

Salary Range: 115,000 - 140,000 USD Annually + Benefits + Bonus
