We're looking for a reporter who will be first to know what's going on inside Santander's boardroom and a self-starter with a vision for the beat who can identify the biggest finance stories in the country. You will be expected to break news on everything from CEO changes to strategic plans to job cuts. The ideal candidate will be able to pivot from on-the-day news to multi-week investigations and has the ability to juggle multiple stories and responsibilities at the same time.
You should have a proven track record of developing senior sources, breaking high-impact news and writing longer-form enterprise pieces. A passion for finance and Spanish-language skills are a must.
The need to leverage Bloomberg's global newsroom by cooperating across teams and time zones is a vital aspect of the role as is the ability to work across various platforms -- including video, audio and social media -- to ensure your reporting gets multiplied across our many formats.
You'll need to have:
Minimum of three years reporting and experience of finance and breaking news
A proven ability to build boardroom-level sourcing
Sound news judgement and a talent for looking beyond the obvious story
A willingness to work well within a team and with others across the newsroom
