California Editor

Bloomberg News is looking for a California Editor to help us expand our coverage of the state, reporting to the California Bureau Chief. The California Editor will be responsible for all facets of the Bloomberg National Desk's California report, with an emphasis on scoops and enterprise stories that help explain this sprawling state to our Terminal customers and Web readers. This editor also will play a major role in producing a new newsletter designed to showcase Bloomberg's California coverage. The nation’s most populous state is at the center of many of the most important stories in the US for Bloomberg News, whether that be California's power to shape global markets through legislative or regulatory action; climate policy innovation; politics and demographics, or the role some of the world's most important technology, entertainment and finance companies play in the economy. We are looking for an editor who can drive coverage of the policies, politics and personalities that Bloomberg customers need to know and understand as they assess how California will affect their futures, regardless of where they live, work or do business.
