Content Specialist - Employee Benefits, Senior (INDG)

Strong research skills enabling tracking of developments for incorporation into existing or new content in assigned topic area. Performs complex analysis, writing, and tagging of assigned content. Assists the Team Lead in determining, coordinating, and prioritizing coverage. May review and edit work of Content Specialists.

Position Overview:

The Senior Content Specialist is responsible for developing, creating, enhancing, and maintaining legal content to support lawyers who work in-house, at law firms, and with the government. In this role, you will track legal developments and perform legal analysis, research, and writing. For this Senior Content Specialist position, we are seeking someone with expertise in employee benefits law, including retirement benefits and health & welfare benefits.

What You Will Do:

Screen cases, legislation, regulations, and other legal developments.

Analyze legal issues to inform content updates and new content creation.

Maintain a level of subject matter knowledge of issues in relevant legal fields sufficient to identify developments, prioritize work, and contextualize the development within assigned content.

Identify new or emerging areas for the content roadmap.

Review the work of more junior colleagues.

Draft practical content and analysis, as assigned, that helps legal practitioners to understand new areas and to undertake their work more efficiently.

Engage in thought leadership through interactions with law school, law firm, government, and corporate leaders, as well as participation at industry conferences and events, webinars, and social media.

What You Must Have:

Bachelor’s Degree, or equivalent experience, required. JD preferred.

Minimum 4+ years’ of legal or business experience.

2+ years’ experience in employee benefits law, including retirement or health and welfare benefits.
