You will work with reporters from pitch to publication – coaching them, driving coverage, and producing high-quality stories both short and long. Your work will be featured on our consumer platforms and create value for our customers across channels for legal, government and financial professionals on the Bloomberg Law and Bloomberg Tax services and the Bloomberg terminal. You are on the front line of our coverage, producing daily and enterprise copy alongside some of the most talented reporters in the industry, and helping us elevate our coverage, break more news, and create a newsroom culture of excellence.

What you will do:

Edit publications according to specifications for style, tone, and length, while also ensuring correct use of grammar, punctuation, and spelling.

Maintain current knowledge of developments and trends in the area of content specialty.

May perform other related duties according to business needs.

You need to have:

4 years’ journalism experience, including some copy editing experience and at least one year writing for same or related publication(s).

Have a working knowledge of the UK legal and political process and a strong interest in financial issues (including tax, accounting, and ESG)

Ability to help reporters break scoops and coordinate coverage between London and Washington offices.

Ability to mentor reporters and editors to promote content on social media and develop their journalistic skills.

Ability to use INDG publishing tools and other technology effectively with INDG training.

Bachelor’s degree with coursework in English, journalism, or subjects related to assigned publications desirable, or equivalent work experience.

Specialized education related to assigned publication(s) may be considered in lieu of some experience.
