The Clarion-Ledger / clarionledger.com , part of the USA TODAY NETWORK, is seeking an aggressive business/culture reporter who can deliver exclusive reporting on the comings and goings of area business as well as a look into the fabric of metro Jackson. We seek a strong journalist who excels at producing engaging and entertaining enterprise work that makes a difference. The reporter must keep tabs on local business developments as well as trends and have a passion for writing about people, not for them. The candidate should have the ability to write quick, digitally engaging content and understand how to use social and SEO to draw in audiences. Responsibilities also include occasionally working with reporters across Gannett’s USA Today Network including other Mississippi newsrooms, to develop enterprise and spot trends and issues that transcend communities. A background in government or business reporting is preferred; a deep curiosity about trends is a must.
