Business Insider is hiring a Senior Vice President, Corporate Communications to lead and manage our external communication efforts.

The Role & Team:
As the Senior Vice President of Corporate Communications, you will be responsible for developing and executing a comprehensive communications strategy that elevates and amplifies Business Insider's journalism, fosters positive relationships, and supports the company's overall goals. You bring a forward thinking perspective and see around corners to anticipate issues before they happen.
You will serve as a trusted advisor and work collaboratively with our executive team.
This role is located in the NYC Metro area. While Business Insider is remote friendly, this person will be asked to come into the NYC office two to three times a week.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement a cohesive corporate communications and public relations strategy that aligns with the company's business goals and values.
Safeguard and uplevel the company's brand reputation by ensuring consistent and compelling messaging.
Cultivate and maintain relationships with key media outlets and journalists.
Provide strategic counsel to the CEO and executive team and assist in preparing for media interviews, public appearances, and other external engagements.
Work closely with our editorial team to ensure our high-quality stories are effectively promoted to amplify the impact of our journalism.
The Ideal Candidate Has:
Excellent media relations skills and a deep understanding of the digital media landscape.
Experience managing crisis communications and mitigating reputational risks.
Ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team on multiple projects at once.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to different audiences.
A strong storyteller who is able to connect information to insight, and communicate with clarity.
A demonstrated ability to establish an effective executive communications strategy.
Demonstrated executive presence, with the ability to effectively engage and influence senior leaders.
Experience working in writing for broadcasting, or a background in speech writing is a plus.
Salary & Benefits:
Base salary: $225,000-$275,000 (dependent on skills, experience, and competencies) and a performance based bonus.
