As an Associate Commissioning Editor, you'll play a pivotal role in driving case study submissions, building a strong pipeline of impactful publications, and contributing to a proactive content acquisition strategy.
Responsibilities:
Build a high-quality case study submission pipeline.
Collaborate with Commissioning Editors, Editorial Boards, and Guest Editors to initiate thematic collections.
Independently identify potential topics and authors, inviting contributions.
Meet annual publication targets for each case study product.
Establish relationships with authors and experts for impactful content creation.
Contribute to strategic content development discussions.
Support external partnership opportunities.
Maintain accurate records related to commissioning.
Use data insights for continuous improvement of commissioning and publications.
Personal Profile:
1+ year experience in commissioning, editing, or curating content.
Preferably in an academic or educational publishing role.
Experience in developing educational materials or learning tools (useful, but not essential).
Creative thinker for content/commissioning opportunities.
Interest in building reporting/analysis skills and market research proficiency.
Excellent communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
Strong time management and workload management.
Qualification:
Degree ideally in a bioscience discipline or strong experience in life science field(s).
