Senior Writer - Practice Management

As a Senior Writer you will join our Marketing team and will produce creative, customized content for Capital Group's Practice Management services offered to financial advisors, RIAs and other intermediaries. You will be a member of the team that produces PracticeLab , an award-winning practice management resource for advisors. You will collaborate with various internal stakeholders, such as Sales, Product, Marketing, etc. as well as external experts to create practice management insights and resources for key audiences.

You will develop content to help our advisors, consultants and intermediaries drive their business. You are ready to use your knowledge of investing and practice management to create content ranging from web articles to presentations, podcast episodes, videos, and social media, depending on the needs of the business. You are a highly experienced financial/investment writer and can manage projects from end-to-end understanding the audience, working with stakeholders to develop the story, and managing all editorial, legal, or quantitative issues that arise in the production process.

You have 10+ years of experience as a writer and editor.
You have a bachelor's degree or higher, with an emphasis on marketing, economics, finance, journalism, or a related field.
You have solid foundational knowledge of the investment industry including facts, theories, principles, methods, skills, terminology, etc.
You have a background in journalism and a portfolio of financial-services editorial content that exemplifies superb writing skills and the ability to distill and synthesize complex ideas into clear prose.
You work quickly and are used to turning out high-quality content on a daily basis.
You have demonstrated an interest in being part of a marketing and sales organization. You are eager to learn about our products, marketing strategy and the needs of our audiences, and will use that information to develop and shape your content.
You thrive in team settings. You have worked previously with stakeholders to develop content on practice management and trends in the financial services industry.
You are digitally savvy. You have a good understanding of digital tools and channels, such as social media, podcasts, YouTube, search and content marketing.
You are an omnichannel content creator. You have experience appearing on podcasts and YouTube, and you are a skilled interviewer of podcast guests.

Southern California Base Salary Range $125,329-$200,526

In addition to a highly competitive base salary, per plan guidelines, restrictions and vesting requirements, you also will be eligible for an individual annual performance bonus, plus Capital's annual profitability bonus plus a retirement plan where Capital contributes 15% of your eligible earnings.
