CBS Philadelphia is on the lookout for an innovative broadcast/digital journalist to join our dynamic digital team! As the Digital Content Producer, you'll play a key role in crafting engaging content across various platforms – primarily on the CBS Philadelphia stream, but also on the web, social media, and apps. Your responsibilities will include writing, copyediting, and producing news content. Plus, you'll be the go-to person for distributing content on social media and supporting our multiplatform streaming goals in both live and recorded formats.

Understanding the ins and outs of journalism processes and ethics is key for this position.
Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and organize story placement in the streaming rundown.
Demonstrate proficiency in managing various social media platforms and engage effectively with viewers.
Possess a basic understanding of how to analyze metrics to measure performance.
Interact daily with national and local editorial staff to coordinate digital coverage and identify broadcast promotional opportunities.
Exhibit diligent copyediting skills, ensuring meticulous attention to spelling, grammar, and overall accuracy of content.
Be a creative thinker willing to explore out-of-the-box solutions when troubleshooting technical issues.
Qualifications:
Join SAG/AFTRA
Have a minimum of 2 years of experience in news writing for broadcast and/or AP style.
Showcase breaking news experience and a passion for owning breaking news on all digital platforms.
Demonstrate the ability to write teases, stories, and headlines for broadcast/streaming, as well as AP style written content.
Possess experience with content management systems.
Work well under tight deadlines in a fast-paced newsroom environment.
Be available to work mornings, evenings, and weekends.
Have a proven strategy for sourcing and crafting content for all social platforms, including but not limited to Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, YouTube, and TikTok.
Exhibit video and photo editing experience.
Hold a college degree in journalism or communication or equivalent work experience.
Understand SEO strategies.

Demonstrate advanced video and photo editing skills.
Have experience with web analytics tools, such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.
