Freelance Editor

Compensation Range: $38 - 44 per hour

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Freelance Editor to join our client's team for a remote contract opportunity!

This role is ideal for a career editor with a strong background in multiple editorial styles and a deep understanding of various industries. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of producing impeccably edited content and the ability to manage their workload autonomously.

Responsibilities:

Perform meticulous editing with impeccable attention to detail.
Apply extensive experience with the AP style guide, and possess knowledge of the Chicago and AMA styles.
Edit and proofread content for industries such as health, education, and social and economic policy.
Collaborate effectively with authors and designers to produce high-quality deliverables.
Coordinate and manage work among different internal stakeholders.
Support the creation of federal proposals and other project deliverables, including fact sheets, presentations, internal communications, tradeshow materials, and reports.
Utilize Monday.com for project management (experience with this tool is helpful but not required).

Qualifications:

Education: Bachelors
In-depth knowledge and practical application of AP, Chicago, and AMA style guides.
Demonstrated experience in editing content related to health, education, and social and economic policy.
Exceptional ability to work independently and manage your own workload efficiently.
Strong collaborative skills to work with various authors, designers, and internal stakeholders.
Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet deadlines consistently.
