Our client is looking to add a freelance Medical Copywriter to their team on an as-needed basis.
The Copywriter role is responsible for contributing short-form, long-form and promotional content for a wide range of marketing and digital communications, including copy for web and email, as well as for traditional and digital advertising and social media. The Copywriter must be an excellent storyteller comfortable appealing to a wide corporate audience to increase engagement with the brand. This person will be responsible for writing and editing content that aligns with style, tone and brand guidelines. Specifically but not limited to HCP.
This will be a remote freelance W2 opportunity. Candidates must have medical copywriting experience to be considered.
Responsibilities:
Research, plan and write inspiring, informative, engaging and audience-relevant copy.
Collaborate with internal departments to establish campaign objectives, complete tasks and identify and solve problems.
Conduct research and interviews to learn more about communications needs, developments and perceptions regarding the subject matter; contextualize the findings.
Collaborate with external agencies and internal team members on brand-building projects.
Work with the art director and creative team to create and modify content.
Create and interpret project deliverables for a multitude of delivery channels.
Utilize SEO methods to increase site traffic.
Consult with leadership on voice, tone and style of content.
Suggest new ways to promote digital channels and engage corporate audiences.
Edit and proofread material as demand and scheduling requires.
Engage in professional development to remain competitive within the industry.
Qualifications:
Experience level: Experienced
Education: Bachelors
3-5 years of medical copywriting experience across channels (print and digital), emphasis on short form educational and promotional copy.
HCP target audience writing preferred.
Med Comm agency experience desired.
Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and Adobe Acrobat.
Excellent storytelling skills, impeccable grammar and an ability to write specifically for a variety of platforms to engage distinct audiences.
Ability to research, plan, write and edit copy on deadline.
Superior written and oral communication skills.
Ability to identify sources for research and draft copy with limited direction.
Leadership skills and meticulous attention to detail.
Ability to interface with clients and subject matter experts to understand complex topics and distill key messages.
Proven ability to edit content for accuracy and completion.
Veeva/med-legal review experience.
Referencing, tagging, linking and annotation experience preferred.
