Duties: Implement media relations strategies aimed at protecting and enhancing the reputation of Citi’s Global Cards business. Develop strategies, programs and tactics to promote products and services, including sponsorships, events, surveys, partnerships and loyalty, technology, and marketing programs. Promote Brand entertainment access programs. Handle Public Affairs for Citi’s Branded Cards business, including media relations, issues management, crisis communications, executive positioning and thought leadership. Interact with traditional and social media outlets that cover the credit card and payments industry, mobile banking and payments innovation. Develop and maintain relationships with media covering Citi, the credit card and payments industry, and relevant sectors including: retail, consumer/lifestyle, travel, technology, entertainment and e-Commerce. Ensure that the Citi brand is adequately and accurately represented in these particular media outlets. Manage an external public relations agency. Produce communications materials, including press releases documenting announcements for Citi’s Global Cards business, talking points, press statements, speeches. Monitor media coverage and identify risks and opportunities. Schedule press activities, speaking engagements, award program entries, arrange interviews and prepare briefing materials. Provide input for the resolution of issues related to Citi’s brand and reputation.
