We’re seeking a creative, collaborative and diligent Climate & Nature Researcher & Writer to help us create energising and transformative climate and nature content for the organisations we work with.

As you will know, wildfires are raging, floods are displacing tens of millions, tropical diseases are intensifying, crops are failing, and nature is collapsing. The emergency is just beginning.

What you’ll be doing

To start off with, your role will focus on:

Conducting desk-based research on the organisations we work with; in particular on their climate, sustainability and nature work.
Working with our existing training materials and weaving in client-specific references, links and language.
Crafting new organisation-specific content and weaving it into our extant training material.
Fine-tuning and proof-reading scripts ready for delivery by our team of presenters.
Updating and tweaking our existing scripts.

If all goes well, this role’s responsibilities will broaden, and we are open to it evolving into a fixed Climate & Nature Communications position.
Requirements
What you’ll need

There are a number of qualities that will be essential for this role, including:

An ability to craft inspiring content which leaves people remembering how they felt - not just what they learnt.
Eagerness to share your own ideas and to harness the power of radical imagination.
Ease in collaborating and co-creating - being open to receiving and incorporating constructive feedback.
Diligence and a keen eye for detail.
Previous experience working as a writer/researcher/editor, ideally in the climate, sustainability or nature space.

Furthermore, qualities that are essential for all of our roles at AimHi Earth include:

Initiative and self-starter energy, to take ownership over the role and make it your own.
Ability to work effectively as a team – to rapidly understand the assignment, and to collaborate well with others to get it done, learn from it and improve it.
Ability to work well autonomously, particularly as a remote worker – discipline, self-motivation, managing your time effectively.

Strong problem-solving skills – to approach challenges critically, ask good questions and find innovative solutions by yourself and with others.

Nice to haves

2+ years working in the climate, sustainability and nature space.
Familiarity with the world of business sustainability (eg. ESG, SBTi, TCFD and other confusing acronyms!).
Experience with and/or interest in digital education, storytelling, psychology and systems-thinking.
