The Colorado Matters Producer identifies and showcases unique content that speaks to life in Colorado on the Western Slope. This position produces long-form interviews to air on Colorado Matters and is responsible for producing Western Slope-based short-form content that can air in the daily newscast, including content derived from long-form segments or content that is newscast-first or digital-first for CPR.org. This is not a remote position. Our Colorado Matters Western Slope Producer is expected to reside in the Grand Junction area upon starting.  You are a skilled audio producer with strong collaboration skills and the ability to work cohesively with a team. You’re a clear and concise communicator. You have an inquisitive nature with a talent for brainstorming ideas, workshopping them with a team, then taking the concept and producing it to completion with little guidance. You have a proven track record of editorial and creative ownership. It’s critical that you have excellent organizational skills and the ability to work well independently.
