Who are we looking for?
We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to join School of Communication, Faculty of Creative Industries, Education and Social Justice, Academic Division.
We are seeking a Communications and Engagement Manager to provide high level professional support to the ARC Centre of Excellence for Automated Decision-Making and Society. The role is responsible for managing communications and engagement with internal and external stakeholders. Internally, the role works closely with Centre staff at all levels and builds strong networks with university Portfolios/ Units. Externally, the position is responsible for liaising with the Centre’s 30+ partner organisations and growing the Centre’s presence and seeking broader community exposure of the Centre’s research outcomes and activities and developing additional enhancements to other programs offered by the Centre.

What You Need To Succeed
Education, training or relevant experience equivalent to postgraduate qualifications or progress towards postgraduate qualifications and extensive relevant experience; or extensive experience and management experience; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education/training.
Proven ability to develop and contribute to the ongoing development of the outreach programs and strategies.
Demonstrated experience in program or events management.
Demonstrated appreciation of, or affinity with science education programs and activities, and a commitment to the delivery of quality service to event participants.
Demonstrated leadership and management skills to competently manage workload, changing priorities and peak periods.
Highly developed interpersonal skills consistent with dealing with a diverse range of people in an organisation and a commitment to quality service.
A high level of self-motivation and initiative and an ability to provide creative solutions to problems.
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
