Position Specific Responsibilities - The mission of the Environmental Finance Center (EFC) at Wichita State University is to build capacity for addressing environmental challenges. TheEFC helps a variety of audiences identify sources of funding and other innovative pathways to reliable and efficient environmental services and protection.

The Heartland Environmental Justice Center (HEJC) is a division of the EFC that supports communities and organizations who serve underrepresented and disadvantaged communities in Iowa, Kansas, Missouri, and Nebraska, and adjoining Indigenous Nations in their efforts to make meaningful advances towards environmental justice and energy equity. The Communications and Marketing Specialist coordinates with EFC and HEJC staff and partners to fulfill the mission of both centers, develop and deliver consistent messaging of programs and services, promote program activities, and highlight the successes of our partners and program participants. This position is integral in the promotion, growth, and success of both centers and their goals.
