Communications Manager

We have an opportunity for a Communications Manager to join our Office of the CEO department on a 12-month fixed-term (maternity cover) contract here at Tokio Marine Kiln. You will report to the Head of Marketing & Communications and will be responsible for providing strategic communications counsel and delivering effective and engaging communications that further TMK’s purpose, vision, values and strategic objectives.

The role includes responsibilities such as developing and delivering insight-led internal communications plans and content to further TMK’s strategic ambitions, as well as providing strategic communications guidance to senior leaders and subject matter experts on communications approaches and best practices. You will also be responsible for enabling TMK’s strategic objectives and supporting the management of change through effective communications planning, stakeholder engagement and delivery. The role also includes responsibilities such as managing the internal communications pipeline and key communication channels (including the intranet), and preparing context papers, Q&As and messaging and positioning documents, in line with business goals and best practice.

You will also be expected to produce superior-quality content including blogs; speeches/talking points; newsletters; presentations; news articles; features; press releases and speeches, whilst also measuring the effectiveness of communications activities, producing insights reports and recommendations, and delivering improvements. You will contribute to externally focused projects, campaigns and activities, including TMK’s social media programme, as well as identifying and leveraging opportunities to promote the company’s key brand messages and products, and participating in relevant projects.
