Communications Specialist

Seeking a Communications Specialist to drive media and public relations initiatives, including content development and other day-to-day communications activities.

Most Important Responsibilities

Proactively identify and secure media opportunities for lawyers including regional, national, and trade outlets.
Actively develop and maintain relationships with media contacts and manage media lists.
Write/Create content for press releases, media pitches, firm website, external newspapers, deal and award submissions, social media postings, and others as assigned.
Track media coverage to promote positive publicity both internally and externally.
Assist in the management, drafting, and submission of responses to media-related firm surveys and award nominations.
Support internal communications campaigns pitched to engage personnel and drive culture.
Collaborate with members of the Marketing and Business Development team to elevate lawyers and brand.

What you can bring to the table to impact this role, team, and organization:

3-4 years of PR, Media, or Communications experience, with a heavy focus on media relations and a demonstrated ability to engage with reporters and editors on a proactive and reactive basis.
Excellent writing and editing skills, with proficiency in AP Style.
Professional services industry or public relations agency experience
Excellent computer and word processing skills required; Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, Excel
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Ability to learn quickly, meet deadlines, and perform in a fast-paced environment.
