Community Journalist

Paxton Media Group is looking for a reporter and/or editor to cover parts of southcentral Kentucky and miiddle Tennessee. The ideal candidate should be able to write and report with minimal daily supervision and have an appetite for finding local stories. This position requires learning about Franklin, Kentucky and Portland, Tennessee and the ability to cultivate news sources and generate story ideas that are impactful for the coverage areas. The Franklin Favorite and Portland Leader are part of a group that includes newspapers in Russellville and Hopkinsville in Kentucky and Lafayette, Hartsville and Lebanon in Tennessee. We're looking for a good fit, but a wealth of journalism experience is not necessary. A passion for community journalism is a must.
