Responsibilities:
Develop and implement engagement strategies to support internal projects
Identify key stakeholders within specified project locations (elected officials, landowners, neighbors, etc.) to tailor strategies specific to each community
Manage grassroots community activities to promote growth of relationships and development
Recognize conflicts and associated risks to aid in project success and apply improvement strategies as necessary
Create budgets to ensure cost accountability
Collaborate with internal staff on collective community engagement strategies
Align with PR consultants and public representatives in support of company specific engagement efforts
Aid land acquisition efforts for development projects through the development and management of collateral materials for land agents and landowner communications, as well as management of landowner and community meetings and related activities to support land control.
Participate in engagement calls for relevant trade associations
Oversee special projects and events, including community events, conferences, and presentations
Develop supporting materials for events including, invitations, news releases, fact sheets and displays
Responsible for social media efforts in support of company development projects
Handle media requests and assist with prepping team members for interviews
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Public Relations, Communications, Political Science, or a related field
Five years of experience in public/government affairs
Energy industry experience a plus
Ability to form a social media presence as well as verbal communication presence
Demonstrated ability to use strategy and grassroots efforts to aid in community outreach
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
Exceptional communication and presentation skills
Ability to cross-collaborate with different teams to execute and complete tasks
