Compose.ly has partnered as an exclusive recruiter with a major online job training course provider seeking a writer with subject matter expertise in real estate to work alongside their in-house team in a part-time capacity. Our client is looking to hire a writer for 20 hours/week on an ongoing basis, with the possibility of scaling the contract up to full-time.
Our client needs a seasoned real estate writer to work alongside their development team and other relevant stakeholders to create, maintain, and publish courses for real estate professionals seeking to obtain or renew their licenses. State-specific courses offered include pre-license, exam prep, post-license, and continuing education training.

Have experience developing training courses or continuing education content for real estate professionals.
Have deep experience and subject matter expertise in the real estate industry.

Can communicate and collaborate professionally and efficiently within a remote environment.
Responsibilities
Creating and maintaining content in the client’s online course catalog
Reviewing complex legal documents and statutes in order to translate the substance of these materials into accessible learning material for entry-level associates
Collaborating closely with the client’s internal teams to build out the written text that accompanies training courses, including the creation of new courses and timely updating of existing courses following regulatory changes in the industry.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree or higher
Real estate license (broker or agent) OR 10 years’ experience writing in the industry
Verifiable experience in a variety of areas of brokerage practice including commercial, development, and title
Familiarity with professional online training courses for licensing and continuing education requirements purposes
Proficiency in written English (US spelling and grammar conventions)
Successful completion of our grammar, spelling, and writing assessments
What would make you stand out
Experience creating training materials for an LMS
License or certification in real estate
Experience with real estate law, including but not limited to paralegal or legal secretary experience
Involvement with governmental aspects of the industry that will inform and enable the creation of regulated content
Degree related to real estate
Any additional relevant certification
