The Role
This role is a full time, fixed term contract, across January and February as a Digital Editor for British GQ.
What will you be doing?
Running weekly web features across GQ’s culture and entertainment section, with a particular focus on film and TV
Managing a small team of writers to help develop their pitches, edit their work to uphold GQ style and standards and meet daily deadlines
Writing articles as required
Working with the wider GQ team to execute SEO strategy, social media launches and visual solutions for stories
Being a source of ideas for features, but also talent casting across GQ Hype and other brand franchises
Who you are:
First-rate writing and editing skills
Significant experience running a culture features desk
Significant experience managing and editing a team of writers
A deep knowledge of film and TV and a demonstrable understanding of how to translate that into editorial that generates traffic and deep engagement
Experience using web analytics to inform editorial strategy
A developed understanding of GQ as a brand
A strong work ethic and collaborative attitude
