Congressional Digest, a 102-year-old nonpartisan Pro & Con monthly on congressional issues, is seeking a part-time, freelance editor/researcher to manage the publication’s 16-page Fact Section. Must have solid knowledge of federal legislation and the legislative process (Capitol Hill experience is a plus) as well as the ability to find, excerpt, and edit content from a variety of public sources on each issue’s topic. Please note: This editor writes each issue’s foreword (600-700 words), but this is not a reporting or feature writing job. Basic layout skills in InDesign needed. This remote-work position requires about 25-30 hours a month, with two unpaid months off in the summer, and works in concert with CD’s Pro & Con editor to create each 28-page issue. Send a letter of interest, resume, and two writing samples to cdeditorsearch@gmail.com. Only candidates to be interviewed will be contacted.
